On June 30th, Frontier is shipping a complete stellar lighting overhaul with the Operations update. The galaxy as we know it will be relit from the ground up, and we figured there’s no better time to point our cameras at the things trying to kill us.
We’re pretty sure someone at Frontier heard we were planning a screenshot competition and decided to give us better tools. We can’t prove this, but the timing is suspicious and we’re choosing to take credit.
The Anti-Xeno Initiative is running its first screenshot competition, and we’re opening it to everyone. One shot. One submission. Make it count.
Submissions are open June 30th and will run until the last day of July. See more details below!
The rules are simple:
- AX-related subject matter. Combat, Thargoid encounters, wreckage, barnacles, the Pleiades. Anything with a xeno connection.
- Your work must be your own. Minor editing is permitted. Composites and AI-generated images are not.
- One entry per CMDR.
After submissions close, staff will curate a finalist pool. Finalists will be showcased, and the winner will be decided by popular vote across the community. All valid submissions will earn the permanent @Party Survivor rank.
The top five most-voted will receive the prestigious rank of @Focal Point for a limited time. All other finalists will be awarded the temporary rank of @Lens Capped.
The overall winner will also take home the rarely-awarded, permanent @Party Champion role, as well as the offer for their shot to become the AXI server banner, and they’ll be offered the chance to name a facility in the Zoo (tastefulness conditions apply).
